In the world of marketing, yes it does! So, let’s say you want to market your product, would you be choosing Content Marketing or Advertising? Learning about how they are different from each other can help you understand which is best for your marketing campaign and may even prevent unnecessary spending on your end.
Advertising through TV, Radio, Newspaper, Email and Print Ads are simply known as native or traditional advertising. This type of marketing is much more like a what we call an “In-Your-Face” type of campaign. Why? This is because you’re coming directly for the consumer’s attention making them want your product regardless of whether they need it or not. Simply put, you are entering their space without their permission.
Content Marketing, as we have said before, can be in the form of photos, infographics, videos, podcasts and blogs. What makes it different from traditional advertising is that your consumers are the ones looking for you because they need what you are providing them, plus, they come in cheap. The only downside to this is that it’s slower to generate results than traditional advertising.
